Activity - 3
Queen Hatshepsut's Funerary Temple

Your next destination on the itinerary is the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, situated within the Valley of the Kings. This unique temple stands as the sole example in Egypt built into the cliffs in terraced form.

Notably, the renowned female pharaoh, Hatshepsut, ingeniously assumed the throne by adopting the persona of a male pharaoh, complete with a counterfeit beard and other male regalia. She is celebrated for her audacious rise to power.

The temple served as an emblem of Hatshepsut's dominance and reverence for the sun god Amun-Ra. Its terraced design also provides visitors with awe-inspiring vistas of the surrounding landscape, contributing to its popularity as a sought-after tourist attraction in Egypt.

Activity - 4
The Memnon Colossi stop

After your exploration of the Mortuary Temple, your next stop will be the statues of Memnon. These are the sole remaining statues from the Mortuary Temple of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, depicting him seated on his throne. What distinguishes these statues is their unique feature: they emit a distinct sound each morning just before sunrise.

This intriguing phenomenon has captivated tourists and scholars for centuries, further enhancing the mystique surrounding these magnificent sculptures. Following your visit to the statues, lunch will be arranged at a nearby restaurant for your convenience.

Indulge in a once-in-a-lifetime experience on the world's longest river as you set sail on the Nile River aboard a traditional wooden sailing boat known as a felucca. While gracefully gliding along the gentle currents of the Nile, you'll be enveloped by the mesmerizing vistas of Luxor.
