At the scheduled time, your guide will meet you for a transfer to the Valley of the Kings. Now, as you stand within this historical site, let your curiosity soar. Here, you'll have the privilege of exploring three distinct tombs.

Nestled amidst the low limestone hills of Gurna, the Valley of the Kings is an ancient Egyptian burial ground boasting 63 known tombs, with recent discoveries adding three more to the list.

Queen Hatshepsut's Funerary Temple

Your next destination is the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, nestled within the Valley of the Kings. Distinguished as the sole temple in Egypt ingeniously carved into the side of a cliff, it stands as a testament to the remarkable reign of the renowned female pharaoh, Hatshepsut. Her audacious ascent to the throne, achieved by assuming the identity of a male pharaoh, complete with a false beard and regal male attire, is the stuff of legend.

Hatshepsut's dominion left an indelible mark, and this temple serves as an enduring symbol of her authority and devotion to the sun god Amun-Ra. Ascending through its terraces, you'll be rewarded with awe-inspiring panoramas of the surrounding landscapes, further enhancing the allure of this iconic tourist attraction in Egypt.

The Memnon Colossi

After your exploration of the Mortuary Temple, you'll be treated to a glimpse of the iconic Memnon Colossi. These statues, the last remnants from the Mortuary Temple of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, depict him seated upon his throne. What sets the Memnon Colossi apart is their unique feature—each morning, just before sunrise, they emit a distinctive sound. This remarkable phenomenon has captivated both tourists and scholars for centuries, further enhancing the mystique surrounding these majestic sculptures.

Following this intriguing visit, a satisfying lunch will be served at a nearby restaurant, allowing you to recharge for the remainder of your journey.
