When you arrive at Queen Alia Airport, one of our agents will meet you and take you directly to your hotel in Amman. It takes around 45 minutes to go from the airport to the hotel.

After a one-hour journey, we will arrive to Gadara, also known as Umm Qays, which is situated on a magnificent hilltop overlooking the Jordan Valley and the Sea of Galilee and has an amazing colonnaded street, a vaulted terrace, and the remains of two theatres overlooking a beautiful panorama.
Our last destination will be Ajloun. We shall go to the Castle of Ajloun. Ajloun Castle is a remarkable example of Islamic architecture with panoramic views of the surrounding area. We will return to Amman for the night after seeing the castle, where you may enjoy a nice supper and rest at your hotel.. 
 


Day 2: Activity - 1
Castle of Ajloun

The Ajloun Castle, also known as Qala'at Ar-Rabad, is a medieval fortification in Jordan's Ajloun Governorate. It was constructed in the 12th century by the Ayyubid dynasty as a strategic defensive post against Crusader raids. The majestic construction of the castle, as well as commanding views of the surrounding terrain, make it a renowned tourist destination today.

The journey begins with a visit to Amman's Citadel, a historic capital, before heading to Al-Balad, known for its markets and historic Souks. The journey concludes with a visit to the Roman theater, "Philadelphia," and Jerash, renowned for its well-preserved Roman towns.

You will be able to see the effect and influence of the Greco-Roman centuries in the Mediterranean region, as well as the deeply ingrained Arab traditions kept by the locals. If you're lucky, you'll be able to watch a historical reenactment of gladiators and chariot races.
We'll arrive at your Petra hotel after a three-hour trip. 
You may go to Petra's night concert (available Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday), which is a fantastic spectacle to behold. (Optional for an additional 24 USD.)

Explore Jerash

The voyage finishes with stops at the Roman theater, "Philadelphia," and Jerash, which is known for its well-preserved Roman villages. These historic sites provide a fascinating peek into the Roman Empire's magnificence and architectural prowess. The Roman theater at "Philadelphia" is a witness to the cultural importance of performing arts during that time period, while Jerash features a remarkable assortment of temples, colonnaded streets, and beautiful mosaics that take tourists back in antiquity.

Enjoy an early breakfast at your Petra hotel.
Your tour will begin with an exploration of Petra. We will begin our day by exploring the Petra Seeq (canyon). You may either walk to "Al Khazneh" or take a short horseback ride. One of the seven natural wonders of the world. Try to understand the reality that the Arab Nabateans carved this 45m high monument Treasury into the red granite rock more than 2000 years ago.

Lunch is served at Al Qantara restaurant in Petra.

Around 1:30 pm, your journey will continue to the south of Jordan, to one of the most impressive deserts in the world, where you'll join a 2 Hour Sunset Jeep Tour and get to see the naturally multi-colored canyons, towering sandstone mountains, and dunes of Wadi Rum, also known as the Valley of the Moon, and made famous for being used as a background setting for numerous films ("The Martian"-2015, "Rogue One"-2016, "Aladdin" (If time does not permit, a dawn trip will be held the next morning, subject to clear skies throughout the winter.)

Finally, you'll arrive at the Wadi Rum Bedouin Camp, which is located within the protected region and allows you to kick back, relax, or even meditate away from the city.

Visit Petra
