Pyramids of Giza tour

One has to be ready with light summer clothes if he plans to visit the Saqqara Necropolis and Pyramids of Giza. Do not forget to wear walking shoes and protection from the sun by putting on sunglasses and a hat. Do not also forget your camera or mobile phone in case you would want to take wonderful views. Photography is completely prohibited with professional cameras inside the Grand Egyptian Museum.

Old Coptic Cairo Tour
Your first stop will be **Old Coptic Cairo**, where you will have an escorted tour of the Coptic period in Egypt. The Catacombs adventure.
You will go underground into the mysterious Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa: a jaw-dropping combination of ancient Egyptian, Greek, and Roman architectural styles. This underground wonder is completely covered with carvings and secret chambers that tell tales of an era gone by.
Bombay Pillar Visit.
From there, after seeing the Catacombs, one could head up to the major Roman structure that is Pompey's Pillar within Alexandria. This tall granite column is considered one of the biggest symbols of ancient history and an architectural marvel.
The Library of Alexandria
After the tour of the ancient temple from where Alexander the Great issued the directive to build that fantastic city, head to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the most beautiful modern tribute to the ancient Library of Alexandria. This marvelous piece of architecture houses millions of books and offers an enlightened look into the intellectual history of the world.
Note: The availability of visiting it is according to the opening schedule of the library, as it is closed every Friday and Saturday and on the official holidays; also, it is closed after 2:00 pm. For those reasons, the entrance fee is excluded.
The Quibay fortress Visit.
Next up is a tour of the Qaitbay Fortress in Alexandria, a 15th-century structure that stands along the Mediterranean coast and was built upon the very site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria. This provides broad views and an excellent understanding of Egyptian maritime history.
Note: We will provide lunch after the fortress tour.
